 Cooking plant-based/vegan is a simple but powerful way to be healthier, and reduce your food carbon footprint all while indulging in delicious meals. The science is clear, home cooking is healthier than eating out or eating commercially prepared meals and the more plant foods consumed, the healthier people tend to be. Reducing or eliminating animal foods while increasing plant food consumption can have a dramatic impact on health, and it will simultaneously reduce your food carbon footprint. Animal agriculture is responsible for 14–18% of human-caused greenhouse gas. Raising animals for food produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all the cars, planes, and other forms of transportation combined.

Plant foods can be just as problematic as animal foods if they end up in the trash, and that’s what’s happening. We waste twice as much food today as we did in the 1970s. 40% of food in America never makes it to a plate and adds to our overfilled landfills to create a greenhouse gas more toxic than CO2. Food waste in landfills produces methane gas, a greenhouse gas 30X more potent than carbon dioxide. 20% of all methane emissions are from landfills.

The OMChef method to zero-waste plant-based starts with a 90-minute introduction class demonstrating a variety of easy, ultra-healthy and delicious dishes in minutes using OMChef Master prep.

•3-hour hands-on cookery class, individuals and groups up 10. Learn how to create a weekly OMChef Master Prep kit and how to prepare multiple dishes for any diet and any palate.

OMChef Master prep is a 3-hour hands-on class where you learn step by step how to create the OMChef Master prep kit. Master prep class will introduce you to the 8 plant food categories necessary for a well-balanced diet, how much to buy from each category, how to calculate servings, how to prepare and store plant-foods for optimum freshness, and how to plan for multiple diets or food sensitivities.

OM Chef cookery classes teach key cooking techniques and master recipes to make plant foods taste divine. Learning a handful of master recipes and cooking techniques is the secret to cooking recipe free, the ultimate cooking liberation!

Additional 2-hour individual and groups (up to 10 people) classes:

  • Simple one dish meals and outrageous salad meals

  • Whole and sprouted grain breads, crackers, flatbreads, and cookies

Food as Medicine Classes

Creating a master prep kit tailored to specific health issues. Private or group class,  3 hr. Additional classes may be taken weeks or months apart.

Cancer Prevention & Recovery is 2 classes, the first focusing on OMChef prep kit of fresh, mostly raw ingredients, ready to be cooked and/or assembled into multiple dishes in minutes. The second Cancer Prevention & Recovery class focuses on cooked dishes and creating a freezer inventory. Diets for specific cancers vary widely, classes are customized accordingly.
