Will I lose weight?

Reducing animal foods while increasing plant foods consistently results in a normalizing of weight. If you begin to lose too much weight you will need to eat more frequently and increase whole grain consumption

How Do I pay for my order?

A check may be left in your cooler after your first order. Weekly payment is appreciated. We do not currently accept credit cards

What if I’m not ready to give up animal foods yet?

You don’t have to. Om Cooking allows you to gradually reduce, and possibly eliminate, animal foods. As you are introduced to a variety of plant based foods and dishes you will naturally begin to eat less animal foods.

Does Om have a special diet for High Cholesterol, Diabetes or Heart Disease?

Om cooking and the Om Prep kit are designed to address all three issues simultaneously, both as prevention and as a way to reverse these conditions. Please see Om Edu for a variety of lectures and research papers on how a plant based diet corrects and prevents these diseases. If you have an advanced condition of any of the above diseases please email or call with details and we can discuss a more customized plan.

What is the Om Chemo and Cancer Diet  program?

Om has developed an assortment of dishes using scientifically supported ingredients proven to combat cancer, work with chemo and radiation treatments, and help with the accompanying side effects. Please call or email for further information

Does eating more veggies really help prevent cancer?

The landmark 2007 study, ‘Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity and the Prevention of Cancer: a Global Perspective‘, published by the World Cancer Research Fund, has provided conclusive evidence showing multiple links between cancer and diet. Below are the recommendations from this groundbreaking study:

Body Fatness: Be as lean as possible within the normal range of body weight

Physical Activity: Be physically active as part of everyday life

Foods and drinks that promote weight gain: Limit consumption of energy-dense foods; Avoid sugary drinks

Plant Foods: Eat mostly foods of plant origin

Animal Foods: Limit intake of red meat and avoid processed meat

Alcoholic Drinks: Limit alcoholic drinks

Preservation, processing, and preparation: Limit consumption of salt; Avoid mouldy cereals (grains) or pulses (legumes)

Dietary supplements: Aim to meet nutritional needs through diet alone
